#1 Airflow: Airflow is detrimental to the treatment process as hair follicles thrive on oxygen for proper circulation. Without proper circulation, LLLT is not nearly as effective and ultimately defeats the overall purpose of using LLLT for hair growth. Due to this design flaw, laser devices that do not have an air vent lack the proper ventilation needed to provide effective treatments. 

Both of our devices, the Professional and Essential, are both equipped with an air vent located on the top of the device to permit airflow.

#2 Exposure: Exposure of diodes that emit red-light at wavelengths of approximately ~678nm is crucial for effectively stimulating blood flow to the scalp. In addition, it's important to have sufficient surface area coverage of emitted red-light - this is achieved by securing a LLLT device with higher diode counts.

Both editions, the Professional and Essential, are designed to provide the exposure and coverage needed for an effective treatment. Both editions are identical in its size and overall aesthetic design but vary in the amount of diodes.

The Professional edition contains a grand total of 272 diodes, evenly dispersed throughout the circumference of the helmet. 
The Essential edition on the other hand, contains a grand total of 80 diodes - which are also evenly dispersed throughout the circumference of the helmet. 

Since the Professional edition contains more than 3x the diodes of the Essential, it does indeed provide more surface area exposure and coverage when compared to the Essential edition.

LLLT is intended to support hair growth in males who have Norwood-Hamilton Classifications of IIA to V and in females who have Ludwig-Savin Classifications I to II, and in both with Fitzpatrick Skin Phototypes I to IV. It is not intended for individuals who are either bald or have advanced hair loss. 

Generally, it is considered safe to use other type of hair loss product(s) including topical solutions, shampoos/conditions, and oils. It is not required to use our device(s) with other hair growth products in order to achieve desired results. Using your device for more than the recommended amount, may result in overstimulation and be detrimental to the treatment process.
